Uptempo is growing their account management team and is looking for an intellectually curious, driven, bold, and courageous Account Manager in North America. You will be joining a team of high performers who are passionate about unlocking opportunities and redefining success for our customers. In this role, you will advance your sales career developing value-based relationships with our Enterprise customers, hunting expand opportunities and managing these sales cycles from lead to close with a focus on aligning multiple personas in the Marketing, Finance, Operations organizations; up to and including the CMO and CFO. This is a remote opportunity to work within the United States and across North American time zones, which will require flexibility in work schedules.
What You'll Do:
- Drive Expansion Sales: Identify and sell the expansion of the Uptempo Enterprise solution, managing the full sales cycle from lead inception to opportunity close in partnership with Customer Success, Marketing, and our Partner Ecosystem.
- Achieve High-Value Deals: Close five- and six-figure expansion deals, contributing to your territory’s growth and meeting revenue targets.
- Build Strong Customer Relationships: Develop value-based relationships with North American customer accounts, collaborating closely with our Customer Success team to drive growth and manage renewals.
- Strategic Territory Planning and Lead Generation: Plan your territory coverage and strategy, develop your account plans, and execute targeted activities to drive pipeline volume, and manage both retention and expansion goals.
- Drive Momentum and Value: Once an opportunity is identified, guide it to success by aligning key stakeholders and maintaining consistent engagement throughout the sales cycle—coordinating meetings, delivering demos, crafting business cases and proposals, and negotiating commercial terms—while adhering to our proven sales process.
- C-Level Engagement: Engage with key decision-makers, including CMOs and CFOs, tailoring your value proposition to align with their strategic priorities.
- Leverage Technical Expertise: Work with our Solutions Engineers to discuss integration processes between Uptempo and other platforms to propose the best future state workflow for our customers.
- Accurate Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and activity tracking in Salesforce, ensuring visibility and alignment with financial targets.
- Collaborative Teamwork: We collaborate as a team and partner effectively with the Customer Success, Solution Engineers, and Delivery teams to uncover opportunities, deliver value, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience We're Excited About:
- A minimum of 3 years proven selling/closing experience; selling to multiple stakeholders in large organizations (some with governed and/or complex purchasing processes).
- You have experience (and previous success!) with prospecting and selling virtually. Onsite/field experience with clients is a strong attribute but not a necessity.
- Experience selling in the Software as a Service space preferred and/or an understanding of how to sell to marketing audiences including Marketing Director’s, VP’s, and CMO’s.
- You are motivated by your performance success and have a record of over-achieving the goals you set your mind to.
- You are extremely open to coaching as well as developing and learning new methods and tactics to drive sales momentum and close deals.
- You understand and have success with value-based selling and have experience with a solution selling methodology/approach.
