Uptempo is looking for a mid-level Product Designer to join our globally distributed team and help shape experiences that are both intuitive and impactful.
You’ll be embedded in a cross-functional product team where your main focus will be driving the how behind features — collaborating with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to explore solutions, test ideas, and deliver high-quality designs. You’ll also work closely with the broader design team (currently 4 designers plus a design lead) and contribute to a growing shared design language.
This is a great opportunity for a designer who enjoys solving complex problems with a supportive team and who’s ready to take a strong, collaborative role in product discovery and delivery.

- Run usability tests with users and customers using available tools and frameworks, and help shape a lightweight, scalable testing approach
- Design user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI mockups using our design system and shared libraries
- Work closely with PMs and engineers in a dual track agile setup — balancing discovery and delivery
- Implement existing UX and UI guidelines and patterns, and suggest improvements as part of your daily work
- Collaborate with the design team to maintain a consistent experience across the product and elevate design quality

- Strong interaction design and visual design skills
- Familiarity with user research and testing practices, ideally with experience running sessions
- Confidence in facilitating design sessions using established methods and collaborating across disciplines
- Experience working with design systems and UI libraries in a real-world product environment
- Clear communication and a team-first attitude
- Located in North America (ideally Eastern Timezone) for strong collaboration with both European and West Coast US teams
The nice to haves:
- Experience in SaaS or enterprise platforms
- Familiarity with marketing tech, finance, or operations tools
- Interest in helping shape internal design processes and documentation
- Experience working in a fully remote or globally distributed team
Why you'll love it here:
- A collaborative, supportive design team that values learning, autonomy, and continuous improvement
- An evolving product culture with growing maturity in discovery, solutioning, and user-centered design
- Global peers, a clear product mission, and exciting challenges
